ORBIT / A FIELD COMPANION

Editorial and source policy

Orbit’s field guides focus on small, repeatable observing activities. Calculator pages show their formulas, examples, and limitations so readers can check the results.

Original material and external sources

Guides and exercises are written for Orbit, with AI assistance during development. They should not be interpreted as first-person field reports or expert endorsements. Each guide links to the relevant scientific or equipment reference. Examples and notebook entries are illustrative, not measurements from an actual observing session.

The NASA picture explorer

Live titles, explanations, and credits come from NASA APOD. Bundled historical previews use short summaries and credited images. This syndicated material is separate from Orbit’s original guides. NASA does not own all APOD images; see APOD’s copyright information. Permission must come from the relevant rights holder when needed.

Corrections and accountability

Saverem is the publisher and contact for corrections. Send the relevant URL and supporting evidence to saverem66@gmail.com. Material corrections should be reflected in the affected page; source links do not imply that the source reviewed or endorsed Orbit.

Commercial relationships

No paid product rankings, affiliate links, or sponsored articles are included in this version. Advertising is currently disabled. Any future sponsorship should be identified clearly, and advertisements must remain distinguishable from editorial material and controls.
